I am experiencing the same problem. I’ve downloaded and re-downloaded the app for about 5 times and it still persists. I can’t even login.

My brave app isn’t launching since I downloaded it last week. All that comes is a white screen for a second and closes.

I use an iPhone. Software version 15.11

Just updated iOS brave to latest version 1.50 and won’t load up.

Hello, I just updated Brave on iOS and now the Brave app crashes constantly. I can’t even use the app. I copied the error log from my Brave app on my iPad, but I would rather send it privately than posting it on here publicly. Who can I email my error log to?

1.50 is broken. Will not load on iOS. I can’t go back to Safari after using Brave for so long. I am breaking into hives …

I beg you please fix the issue.

1.50 / iOS 16.4.1 (a) been happen frequently for at least 2 weeks. Very frustrating. Tried to upload log but says new users cannot upload files.

Tried it for about 20 minutes on sites that were crashing. It looks stable. Didn’t have a single crash.

@gus So for you and others, it means that they figured out the issue and there’s a fix coming. Essentially just can use the beta version until they get the next patch out.

Just wanted to add that the fix is coming in form of an app update. Brave has finished things on their end and just waiting for it to pass Apple’s review and to get to the app store.

The 1.51 update is in the App Store. Please give it a try
You might need to go to the app store manually and look for Brave to get the update

The browser crashes every time I try to open it (Brave version 1.51, iOS version 16.4.1). It started a few days back when I tried to open a large pdf (it crashed the app). Since then, every time I try to open the app, I just get a black screen for about 20 seconds and then it crashes. Tried updating the app to the latest version, but I still get the same issue.

I don’t want to lose all my tabs!! :frowning: Please help!

Also, I just want to say that Brave is by far my favorite browser! Both on desktop and mobile. Thanks for all the excellent work you folks put in!! :slight_smile:

Man it’s weird!! I checked all the logs from that date. None of them show 1.51. But I did update to the latest version on that date. And as for the version number, I got it from the app details on the App Store, after I did the update. Still kept crashing.

Today I updated my iOS to the latest “security update”, and now suddenly it no longer crashes!!! Either the security update or the phone restart seems to have done something. Not really sure what happened there, but I’m glad its ok now :sweat_smile: . I immediately created a Sync and bookmarked all my tabs :sweat_smile: . Then I tried restarting the app multiple times. No crashes! :grin:

Anyway, seems like it was some weird glitch on my side. Sorry to bother and thanks for your time!!

Hi, have now had a chance to test thoroughly and no more crashes for me at least! iOS 16.5, brave 1.51.

@michal are you able to assist with djh? I see they shared .ips from Dropbox a couple days ago. Guess still having issues with crashing. At least some feedback on what the crash reports show, when you have an opportunity. Thanks.,
