Several years ago, i stumbled upon a SE called “Northern Lights,” or something close to that. What was the coolest part of this SE is that it gave the user a list, (on the left side of the window), that had options. For example:
Search query: “seals”
Enter
Left box output:
- Easter
- Marine aquatic wildlife
- Fluids retention
These results were clickable and would display results for the particular type of “seals” you were interested in. This saved so much time and frustration i believe this feature should be mandatory. On all useful SEs.
I would PAY real money for such a feature. Can this be implemented in Brave? As an addon? As a plugin? I really hope so.
Can you imagine a SE that operated in such a manner?
Example (in my SE utopia):
Search query: “Insanity”
Enter
Left window results:
- Albert Einstein quotes
- Diagnosis of
- Benefits of
- Political examples
Each would take you to a more specific sub-result.
What a wonderful world this would be.
There you have IMHO the foundation of the single most important feature ANY SE could offer. Instead of wasting your limited time going thru totally rigged, irrelevant, and just plain useless Google results.
This COULD be a feature that adds value to Brave SE results. In fact, i will bet $100usd that it WILL bring more smart users away from Google and to a much more useful Brave.
Ok. Ive done the easy part. I will encourage anyone who wants a smarter world to take it from here. Thanks for reading… Now, lets make it happen!!
