I’ve been noticing this on the vertical layout style. Sometimes when I close tabs the entire browser becomes black for a second. Doesn’t happen all the time

glad you mentioned this. I didnt know what was going on or how to explain it accurately enough to feel confident in my google search.
still, gave “brave black screen” a try and here we are.
just chiming in to say this isnt limited to vertical tabs. I have horizontal tabs and seemingly at random it will turn the entire browser black for a second when closing one. Have been unable to find any rhyme or reason or variable i can pin down in an effort to try and force it.
all i know is ive been using brave for a looooong time and this just started happening within the last few weeks or so.

negative. never had much of an issue with brave so these forums are all i know of.
