  2. Open Brave,
  3. Open a few tabs loading different websites (nothing in particular),
  4. Open a second instance of the browser by either clicking on the icon to open it manually or drag an existing tab into open desktop space and place the second instance (with YouTube loaded) onto a second screen,
  5. Use the browser (both windows), then close the second browser instance which has YouTube loaded.

Actual result:

The entire Brave browser crashes.

Expected result:

The instance which is closed, closes without the browser crashing

Hello @sgf69, thank you for contacting us. Have you tried deleting your cache and cookies? Are you using any kind of extension?

Besides, can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

Also: brave://flags > Search 'Vulkan' >Disable > Vulkan> Retest Regards.

Hi Jarc-1107,

This no longer seems to be an issue with newer versions of Brave. Please note I did nothing in particular to try resolve this other than update Brave. The dragging of tabs to other screens (which was also an issue for me in Linux) seems to have also been resolved.

Thank you.

Thank you for letting us know @sgf69, my pleasure  If you have any other concerns, we will be happy to assist you. Regards.
