While using Brave, if I turn on the IME and then create a new tab, it is turned off in the search bar of the new tab.
However, in the site display area, it remains ON continuously.
Brave Version:
1.28.106 Chromium: 92.0.4515.159
OS:
Windows 10 Pro 21H1
IME:
Google IME for japanese
@FooBar2000,
Thank you for reaching out.
I’m curious if this behavior only occurs in Brave or if you see the same behavior in other browsers such as Chrome/MS Edge?
@Mattches
Thanks for the reply.
I checked.
I could see the same phenomenon in Chrome and Edge.
Is it chronium bug ??
Chrome:
92.0.4515.159 Official Build 64 bit
Edge:
92.0.902.78 official build 64bit
Also, the correct explanation of the phenomenon was that the IME turns off when the focus is removed from the search bar.
@FooBar2000,
Yes it is very likely a Chromium bug riding the trains. It’s also like that we’ll get this fix “for free” during the next Chromium update. Not entirely sure what to suggest in the interim – I know it’s probably very inconvenient for you. You might try it out with a different IME?
Thanks for the reply.
Nothing can be help that if it’s a bug in Chronium.
I’ll try some other things.
I like Brave.
Thank you.
