Closed screen playback not working on Youtube

My phone is not continuing to play YouTube with the screen closed. My shields are up, and background play is allowed. The feature works fine with the Rumble app.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open YouTube in Brave
  2. start video
  3. Close screen

**Expected result: The video should keep playing, but immediately stops. **

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.46.154

Samsung A53 5G, OS Andriod 13

The add blocker still seems to be functioning.

I was mistaken guys. I assumed that because Rumble worked with the screen lock that I had the background play option turned off. This was incorrect. After visiting the settings menu and turning the feature on it works. SHOCKER right?!
