Clear Data on Exit doesn't respect whitelist

Description of the issue:
Clear Data on Exit clears all cookies, including those specifically allowed in Site Settings > Cookies.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Add a site exception in Site Settings > Cookies.
2. Enable Brave Shields & Privacy > Clear Data on Exit.
3. Quit the browser. Cookies from whitelisted sites are cleared along everything else.

Expected result:
All cookies cleared, EXCEPT whitelisted sites.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave 1.45.113, Chromium 107.0.5304.62

I’m still seeing my allowed/whitelisted cookies (Settings --> Site Settings --> Cookies) present after turning Clear data on exit “on” and quitting the browser. Can you tell me what type of Android device you’re using at this time?

I use a TCL10L, model T770B. I just tested again and I’m seeing the same behavior.

Is it possible that I’m not using the right format when adding allowed sites? I use “example.org” on my allowed list, only because it doesn’t let me use something like “https://example.org”

I just tested both and go the same results but might be worth testing yourself. Still waiting on a response from the team, will update as soon as I have more information.

I just updated to the latest version of the app (1.45.127), and the issue persists.

I’m surprised you’re able to keep whitelisted cookies. That implies maybe there’s an issue with my phone, but it’s hard to imagine that my OS would mess with just this one setting, and nothing else.
