Can't type in Brave window until I quit Hangouts

After having a text conversation using the Google Hangouts extension, it is not possible to type anything into the Brave window, e.g. a web address. The solution is to close the Hangouts window, but this isn’t ideal with an ongoing conversation.

To reproduce this problem, simply have a text conversation using Google Hangouts, then try to type into any text field in an open Brave window

No text will appear in the Brave window, but if you bring up the hidden Hangouts window you’ll find it there.

Brave Version 1.3.115

Mac Mini running Catalina 10.15.3

Thanks a bunch for reporting @katzenfinch. I’ll test on my end. Did it work for you if you disabled shields?
