I have been signing into my Ebay & Poshmark stores on Brave since I installed Brave. All of a sudden 2 days ago, I can’t get the Poshmark site to load. I get a yellow caution sign that says the site may not be secure. I cleared Cache/History, tried re-loading, tried typing in the HTTPS:// as the Brave suggestion says but I just get a spinning circle.
All I do is type the address in the address bar & nothing happens
It works on my Cell phone (Android) and Edge Browser
Expected result: Please help me to get the Poshmark site to load so I can go back to work.
Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave is up to date
I keep responding to your email, but I get a response saying I can only show you 4 embedded media items. I removed all but 4 & keep getting the same error message. Trying a fourth time here.
Morning,
I did update the Brave browser. The Poshmark sign in resolved when I disabled the browser extension & signed back in. However, the Brave issue that’s been occurring is worse.
I have to re-load almost every website page I click on (Ebay, Poshmark, My Bank, Amazon…) I tried shields up & down. It does not happen on MS Edge Browser, however, I do not want to use that browser. I want to use Brave.
Please see the 4 attached photos as examples…
Brave 1 is when I download this page, Brave 2 is what I should get ( I have to re-load the page to get it)
Brave 3 is what I get first download, Brave 4 is what I should get but only if I re-load the page.
The rest are what you asked for. REMOVED THESE
Please tell me what settings/info you need to help rectify this issue. It’s been going on for months. If you need more specific , you need to tell me how to find it.
My Security is McAfee. I’ve tried to attach everything you’ve asked for. I appreciate the help Jim!! I’ll wait to hear from you.
The answers to the other questions may be important as well, if you can respond with that. Screenshots may not be necessary if you can otherwise easily characterize what you’re seeing.
In the meantime, does the issue occur if you create a new profile and try it in that profile? (Make sure your original profile does not have any open windows; only the new profile should be open.) Note that creating and testing a new profile will not affect your original/existing profile(s).
I recommend also testing with McAfee temporarily disabled, in case it is interfering somehow.

@DPS,
Worth mentioning that i do not have this issue on my end — I’m able to login to both Poshmark and eBay without any issues. Have you tried with McAfee disabled as @JimB1 suggested?
I can’t click around all websites without having to re-load most pages. Today on Amazon & my Bank sites too.
All Photos on the page won’t download in my Posh store…
It only happens on Brave.
Everything works in Edge, but I don’t want to use Edge.
I figured it’s not the McAfee because other browsers all work & that it must be a setting in Brave.
Any suggestions? Do you want more photos of what Brave is doing when I click on a website page?
More pictures might be useful.
It’s unlikely that it’s Hardware Acceleration related but I think it’s still worth trying — can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue? You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
It seems unlikely to me that all of these sites just stopped working all at once — there must be some setting or configuration that has changed. To be clear, you’re not on a VPN of any kind? Additionally, you mentioned McAfee — can you please try disabling it anyway just in case and testing to see if it makes any difference in the behavior?
@DPS,
Jim wanted you to create a new profile within the browser you’re using presently (which you did). @fanboynz is asking you to try downloading the Beta build of Brave and see if you get the same behavior when using it.
Happy to report that the Beta Build is working flawlessly for 2 days.
Thank you, Matches for clearing that up.
Now, what do I do? I have the Red Brave Lion with 2 Profiles (I was asked to create the 2nd one) & the Blue Beta Lion in my tray. Do I uninstall the red? Or delete it?
@DPS,
The fact that these sites are working in Beta but not in release means that the issue with those sites is either contained within the browsing data of your original profile (in the stable version of the browser — orange icon) or that whatever was causing the issue has been fixed in the Beta version. If it is the second option (the issue is fixed in Beta — blue icon), then that means when the stable version (orange icon) updates next, it should also receive that same fix.
So for what you should do here, that is entirely up to you. If you’d like to continue using Beta (blue icon) for browsing, you’re more than welcome to do that and everything should work just fine and you can uninstall the stable version (orange) if you’d like. However, if you’re interested in seeing if your old profile on the stable version works after the update, I would keep it installed and after the update, check the behavior again and see if it is the same.
