Can't login to certain sites, but can in private mode

Description of the issue:
Can’t login to certain sites, but CAN in private window. Basically exact same problem as this one here (Can't login to a website - can login using a 'Private' tab).

I don’t know how he managed to solve this issue though (e.g. what is PEBCAK?)
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Try to log into www.virginatlantic.com

Expected result:
Says login failed

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.0.0

Additional Information:
I tried clearing all cookies and browsing data - did not work.
Tried disabling all shields - did not work.
If I try to log into virginatlantic via private window then it works fine.

Edit: In the link you gave, his problem was caused by a bad extension…

Hard to say if there is a problem, does disabling Sheilds helps?
