Can't get to email app after hitting an email address link within Brave

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. When I click on an email address link within Brave, a pop-up screen appears for less than 6 seconds which does not allow me to hit the 2 squares needed to send the email. Hence, I am copying and pasting the email address into Mac mail in order to send an email. This is a recent occurrence. I’m using
    Version 1.18.77 Chromium: 87.0.4280.101 (Official Build) (x86_64)

    2.FYI - I was using Bullhorn application while trying to send the emails. Since Bullhorn is my CRM, it is important to be able to do this.
  2. Would like to hit the email link and have the popup screen stay on the page long enough for me to hit the two buttons which will send it to Mac Mail.
