The problem here is even if you disconnect your old phone, in terms of uphold, 4 max life time devices have already been conncected. The above link can alleviate a device. However, the wait times may take quite some time. I believe this month brave is supposed to be coming out with a way to totally remove these limits. So it might be faster to wait it out. But it would not hurt to go ahead and fill out the forum above, just in case things get delayed.
