Description of the issue:
Cannot remove any top site icon in that panel. I click on the “X” in the icon I want to remove, and I do get a “top site removed” message, but the icon will not go away. I also have a duplicated icon which I’ve tried to remove, unsuccesfully.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Just try to remove any icon from the top sites panel, pinned or not. it won’t happen.
Expected result:
To be able to remove individual icons in the top sites panel.
Just so you know, others have experienced this also. No word from anyone if anything is being done about it, or even if the issue has been seen by anyone at Brave… Very disappointed in the process here.
Is anyone working on this issue. I had a reply from someone telling me what to do but they did not even understand the problem. I want to remove one top site and it cannot be done. If you are not going to fix it, please just tell me. Or if there is a way to fix it. please explain that to me.
Actually you can turn off top sites easily! there is an icon that looks like three horizontal bars with dots in them in the lower right corner. Click there and there is an option to turn off top sites.
But ultimately I want for top sites to be “unstuck”.
I have tried those. I click the “x” to remove a site and nothing happens. I’m not trying to turn off top sites, I just want to pick and choose and get rid of the ones I don’t like. The message box says “Top site removed.” but it is not removed.
Just to let everyone know, the last update seems to have fixed this issue for me. I can now remove, pin and unpin top sites. Too bad nobody from Brave felt like they should say something about it.
