Description of the issue: This morning, after a Windows restart also restarted and thus updated my Brave browser, I am no longer able to grab an email message with my mouse and move it to a new folder. My email client is SmarterMail Enterprise Edition Version 15.5.6222. Google Chrome still works just fine with SmarterMail. This happened with my home computer right after the update, so I was delaying updating my office computer until perhaps the problem was resolved without my reporting it. But then my office Windows update also closed Brave - and loaded the latest version. This does not happen with gMail or hotmail. So it’s apparently some incompatibility issue between Brave and my SmarterMail client.
How can this issue be reproduced?
-
Log in to a SmarterMail account using the latest version of Brave.
-
Grab a message with your mouse.
-
Try to move it to any folder. It will not go, at least not on either of my computers.
-
Now log in to a SmarterMail account using the PREVIOUS version of Brave.
-
Grab a message with your mouse.
-
Move it to any folder. Boom. Works. At least on both my computers.
Expected result: If this cannot be resolved, I’d like to get the previous version of Brave so that my email works properly.
Brave Version( check About Brave
): Version 1.51.114 Chromium: 113.0.5672.92 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
This is an unusual problem since I cannot seem to replicate it with any other email client. But I own my domain - SouthMiamiTKD.com - and so I’m stuck with this email client. Please help! The last thing I want to do is return to Chrome!
