Cannot log into gemini account from brave browser for rewards

I try to log in to transfer BAT for rewards. After log in, I input my Authy code. The screen shows logging in then I receive an error message stating " We weren’t able to complete your request. Please try again, and contact support if the problem persists". I have not been able to log into my account for months now and I have tried many of the “fixes” in previous threads and FAQs.

@Deus01 guessing #1 issue is Gemini is no longer supported for linking new devices/profiles. Are you trying to connect a new device or one that has long been connected?

The device and browser are the same I have always used. I’ve cleared cache, deleted and reinstalled browser, all the little things suggested in the forums. I can get to Gemini on every other device and can log directly in via the browser but I can’t log in to see BAT availability, transfer, or see gained BAT.

Essentially, it just stopped logging in one day.

This would be an issue. Once you reinstall, it starts with a brand new Rewards profile. So you wouldn’t be able to connect.

What version of Brave are you using? Gemini shouldn’t even be able to be selected when you visit. It should appear like below:

The exception would be if you changed the flags. So if you went to brave://flags and enabled Always show Brave Rewards custodial connection options, then it would at least pretend you could login.

So guess just wanting to confirm:

  1. If you’re using current version of Brave.
  2. Have you switched things in brave://flags?
