Description of the issue:
Cannot install Brave on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Followed the instructions here
  2. The warnings/errors
W: An error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com stable InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A8580BDC82D3DC6C

I followed this solution here but still didn’t work form me

OK, I was able to installed it but still getting errors when I run sudo apt update

Can you paste here the output of these commands:

  • ls -l /usr/share/keyrings/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg
  • ls -l /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave*
  • cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.list
