Cannot import settings from Edge

New to Brave. Installed version 1.32.113 Chromium: 96.0.4664.45

Now I would like to import all settings and bookmarks from Edge, if possible. According to the manual, it should be possible. Sounds logical, since they share the same codebase. But to my surprise, when I click Bookmarks > Import bookmarks and settings, the only option I have is to import bookmarks. But it doesn’t. There’s nothing imported, no matter how many times I try.

Now bookmarks can be imported from an HTML file, so no problem there. But what about the other settings and extensions? Should it be possible to import them? And if so, what could be the cause I can’t import them?
