Bought a new HP Spectre laptop yesterday. Allowed Windows 10 Home to fully update. Installed Brave Browser latest version. Performed Sync operation successfully. The first problem I noticed is that I cannot download ANY files from the internet. No error messages, but the Save File window pops up and then immediately closes before I can click on Save. In trying to troubleshoot this issue, I tried to go into Settings and change the file download location. The exact same thing happens. I click on the Change buttons in the download settings section, and the Location box opens but immediately closes before I can select a location and save. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

close brave and make sure it does not work in the background then right click brave icon and run as administrator
if it work then most probably you have issue some folder permission

You nailed it! For some reason windows blocked most of the programs permissions. I gave it full access and so far everything seems to work. Thank you!
