Can I remove the 'not secure' banner in a web app for a locally-hosted site?

Description of the issue:

  • I have a locally hosted instance of homeassistant on my network (to control lights and heating).
  • It is accessed via a http:// non secure webpage for local access only
  • It is fully secured for remote access.
  • When I access it locally (with Brave) I get the ‘not secure’ message to the left of the URL bar. This doesn’t bother me as it doesen’t take up much space.
  • However, this is an often used page so I have created a web app (more tools ➜ create shortcut) but this generates a page wide banner for the ‘not secure’ message.

Is there a way I can remove this banner for this specific site when accessing it locally?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Create a shortcut for locally hosted, locally accessed http:// site.
  2. Use shortcut (and get the page-wide ‘not secure’ banner).

Expected result:

  • I would hope to be able to permanently dismiss the ‘not secure’ banner for this particular locally-hosted site.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.60.118 (Chromium 119.0.6045.163)

Additional Information:
This is a locally hosted site.
