Bug with accents in google docs

Hello,

I use google docs to type my notes and lessons as a university student, but I keep running into a bug.

It’s kind of hard to explain, but basically when I try to type « ` » or letters with « ^ » or « ¨ » (such as « î » for example), it shows up as « ^î » and the rest of my typing will get underlined in black. I also cannot delete any letters or make the underlining go away until I touch / click the screen with the trackpad.
After that, the last character that I typed, whatever it is even a space, will be replace by « ^ », « ¨ » or the other character, depending on which one I used earlier.

I have videos to show it better in case that’s not too clear :
screen recording 1
screen recording 2
screen recording 3

Also you cannot see it in the videos but if I’m trying to delete words after typing an accent it does not let me.

This would not annoy me as much if it wasn’t for the fact that I don’t have time to do all this while taking notes during class.

For more context, I’m typing on iPad with a detachable keyboard : the combo-touch by Logitech. I have the update 18.1 at the moment, but the bug was running before and still after the update.
I don’t think it has something to do with my iPad but more with Brave as this doesn’t occur when I type on the google docs app. I like the browser version better tho, as it has more functionalities just like it does on a computer.

Feel free to lmk if you have any suggestions, thank you in advance !
