Bug report - update button sends to Chrome homepage

Description of the issue:
Clicking on the “Brave is out of date” button gives another button “Reinstall Brave” which opens the Chrome homepage.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10, 32 bit
Version 0.58.18 Chromium: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (32-bit)

@daveslab thanks for reaching out.

Your Brave version is outdated. The latest version is 0.67.124, released a couple of hours ago. And this issue is already fixed since version 0.61.x.

Can you try:

  • Download the installer from brave.com/download or if you still have a copy on your device,
  • Then run the installer. Make sure you close all Brave processes.
  • No need to uninstall . Just run the installer. It’ll try to fetch the latest version.
