Browsers have only 1 "X" to end the program, In the top/right/corner

Delete the any text above the line separator below before posting*
??? right ??? what the hell ?? are you nuts ?

Comparing Brave screen to all the others, there’s an “X” everywhere !
Other browsers have but one.
At this moment, the Brave top line has 7 tabs, each with an “X”, plus the normal “X” in the rightmost spot.
Click the first “X” ( WHICH ? first X ) Oops ! Brave shuts down !!!

According to GOOGLE, I must switch my Gmail to “another” secure browser.
( OR, go retro with ThunderBird (no browser req’d ).

Is this little bit of code something repairable ? This year ?

The Template for an New / Original Post, at:

https://community.brave.com/c/support-and-troubleshooting/web-compatibility/77

has an introductory paragraph:

plus the malformed (“the any text”) sentence that you mention:

Delete the any text above the line separator below before posting*

Yes, that should be fixed.

While the Template for posting a Brave Support > Web Compatibility issue, only asks you to report the Brave Browser version, I much prefer that all of the following, are included:

  • Brave Browser version numbers
  • Computing device
  • Operating System version numbers

Regarding “there’s an ‘X’ everywhere” . . .

Tabs include an ‘X’ for closing, if you wish.

One issue that you report:

Click the first “X” ( WHICH ? first X ) Oops ! Brave shuts down !!!

That sounds like a Crash!

How do I manually submit crash reports?

https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/22281484910221-How-do-I-manually-submit-crash-reports

After you click the “Send Now” button, return to brave://crashes and gather up the Crash ID numbers. Post the numbers, here, in a new reply.

Regarding your issue with Google > Gmail:

According to GOOGLE, I must switch my Gmail to “another” secure browser.

Sequential screenshots of what you encounter, there, will be helpful. (Thanks in advance.)
