Browser seems to prevent input going to unfocused windows (e.g. Discord hotkeys/shortucts/PTT)

Description of the issue:

Brave Browser seems to intercept keyboard and mouse button presses from being received by other processes when a Brave browser window is in focus. Windows OS level shortcuts still seem to work, but user level programs don’t.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Discord (or some other program that still accepts input while unfocused)
  2. Open Brave Browser and have it in focus
  3. Send user input that would normally be captured by both processes

Expected result:

I am fairly certain it used to work such both the Brave Browser window and any background processes could receive the input. I could use Discord’s shortcuts to mute, deafen, and push-to-talk, all while in a different window. This seems to no longer be the case specifically with Brave Browser. Behavior still works as expected with other browsers.

Nevermind. A Windows10 update + Discord update seems to have fixed the issue.

Still strange though, not sure what the cause of the issue was.
