@Mattches
Yes, I reproduced it multiple times, there are no crashes reported. It just freezes, then i have to close with the xkill command from the terminal.

How do you change between guest and private mode?
About the second question. Even with no extensions installed, this error occurs.

@Reocin ,
You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu --> Open Guest window

Same issue. A while ago Ubuntu (Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS) did some updates and after that Brave (Version 1.45.118 Chromium: 107.0.5304.91 (Official Build) (64-bit)) keeps freezing every time when uploading or saving files.
Using a guest window freezes as well while the normal window stays interactive.
resetting all settings and removing extensions did not help
Ok this helped.
Settings → Download → Ask where to safe each file before downloading → OFF!!!
It looks to me that the save at dialog is modal and does not close correctly.
Uploading something still feezes. I am betting it is the the same issue. That file open/save dialog does not close correctly.

## Description
## Steps to Reproduce
First way (upload):
1. Open any website allowing you to upload a file, eg. [How TO - File Upload Button on](https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_html_file_upload_button.asp).
2. Click upload button.
3. Hit "cancel" button, select any file(s) and hit "select" or just close the window.
Second way (download):
1. Enable "Ask where to save each file before downloading" in [Brave settings](brave://settings/downloads).
2. Visit any site allowing you to download file.
2. Select download link (or download button).
3. Hit "cancel" button, select any destination and hit "select" or just close the window.
Third way (save current webpage):
1. Open any tab (it can be even new tab or the current website you're reading).
2. Hit Ctrl+S to save the current webpage.
3. Hit "cancel" button, select any destination and hit "select" or just close the window.
## Actual result:
All three ways leads to frozen window input:
- there's no way to click anything with a mouse,
- Tab / Shift+Tab doesn't move focus in the browser window,
- any other key shorctuts doesn't work (Ctrl+W etc.),
- window cannot be resized by dragging its corners,
- window can be resized by attaching (or detaching) the top bar to/from the top of the display (content is updated),
- dynamic content in the window is updated (eg. youtube webpage keeps playing the video and both picture and sound is played normally, though cannot be controlled in any way),
- the only was to close the window is to use a system menu or close the browser using a hamburger menu in another (not frozen) window.

## Expected result:
No such freezes should take place.
## Reproduces how often:
Each time any save or open/upload window closes.

Thanks, I experience the same issue with a macOS Catalina, it doesn’t seem it’s just a Linux issue.
