So not only in providing exact steps and your version of Brave (exact number, not just āthe latestā), it also will be helpful for you to reply with the following details:
Does this literally happen when you are typing email, finish typing, when you go to do CAPTCHA, or what?
Which version of Windows are you using? (7/8/10/11)
Does disabling Shields have any impact?
Try in private window, does it happen there?
Can you add a second browser profile and test on that?

The problem seems to happen when I select to set the e-mail address using the auto-fill feature. A pop-up bubble with āManage Addressesā pops up and if I select my e-mail address the browser exits from all tabs.
Trying to think, that on Beta? I know Release is currently on 1.62.165 and Nightly is on 1.65.14. Beta is one version I donāt have installed.
I tried to replicate both on Nightly and Release, neither had the issue. This has me wondering if itās an extension or something. In that regard, it would be helpful if the two of you tried the steps I mentioned:

Yeah, Iām not doubting itās happening. Big issue is Iām not replicating it. So weāre having to figure out where the missing piece is at. Like if it is an extension, cookie, external program, etc.
I see in your video that you tried in private window. This might help to exclude the idea of extensions, though some still can interfere through it. It also should definitely eliminate the idea of cookies, as private opens with no cookies and all.
If you can try new browser profile, that will help also narrow things down a bit more.
Guess other thing I should ask, is it actually crashing or just closing? Like if you go to brave://crashes do you see anything recent? If so, make sure they are submitted. If it says Send Now you will need to click on that and then exit Brave for a little while so it can upload. Then go back to it and copy/paste any Uploaded Crash Report ID from it.
@jtsillas I guess this kind of highlights what I said about version being important.
@bavaresco Do you also have Nightly installed? I know itās not happening to me on Release and Nightly. If youāre on Beta, it might just be something temporary happened on that. Kind of would be nice to know if OP also is same version and weāre narrowing things down a bit more.

Youāre doing awesome on getting info. Only things Iām waiting to hear back from you on is confirmation of:
Does this also happen on a new profile? Iām speaking of Hamburger Menu ā More Tools ā Add new profile. This would create a secondary profile with no extensions and most settings to default. Testing this helps know if it might be profile specific or if itās ādeeperā than that.
This was going to be second thing I was going to say am still waiting on. Information you have provided has concluded one of two things. (1) Itās version specific. (2) Itās something in the profile/settings
So yeah, back on Beta, if you try new profile, might really help confirm which of the two is more likely. And if itās Beta, then we know whatever it was gets fixed and might just have to wait for next update. But at least kind of gathered all necessary information once you answer on that and maybe can have more definitive answers for you.
Actually, I just downloaded and tested on Beta and can replicate. So definitely an issue on Beta. Will be nice to know if OP is on this version as well. But at least @mattches and @steeven can be aware of it and pass on to team. But I think overall the situation is going to be that we may need to wait for next update, since itās not replicated in Release or Nightly.
thanks mateā¦ Iām using the beta because I had problems with nightly and the normal version and only the beta didnāt have it, but itās a ānormal bugā that doesnāt affect our day-to-day work.
Yep, so youāre on Brave Beta. And I see thereās another topic on this over at Brave Beta crashes when using Autofill (Mobile & Desktop) so itās definitely something people are having issues with. Itās just the one channel of Brave, the normal version and Nightly is working fine, itās just Beta that has an issue.
