Browser elements and text are vertically misaligned

OS: macOS Sierra 10.12.6
Browser: Brave 0.18.23

Steps:

  1. Go to preferences and advanced tab
  2. Find ‘Toolbar and UI elements scale’ option
  3. Select ‘smaller’ from dropdown
  4. Restart browser

You will notice that various browser elements, such as tab favicons and text, back and forward buttons, and url bar are not centered. This makes for a distracting visual experience. It should be a fairly easy fix, hopefully.
