After my computer goes to sleep for a while (I sometimes have days between uses of my desktop), when I wake it up and go to brave, the browser opens to a blank window (all buttons and controls are visually intact). It won’t let me open settings, much less connect to any website. Like, the browser just doesn’t work. I have tried re-downloading the browser, I’ve shut down/removed my extensions. The only thing that resolves the issue is restarting my computer. This ONLY happens after my computer goes to sleep for a while, “a while” being overnight at minimum, up to several days. This has been happening for a few weeks.
update I snapped a screenshot when it happened this morning. It’s consistently the STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error code.
I am currently on Windows 11, version 24H2, and Brave Browser version 1.73.104
I always close all windows and quit all applications, before “putting a computer to ‘Sleep’.”
But, I also, almost never, “put a computer to 'Sleep.”
But . . . I also, have not used “Sleep” in years, because I remember several occasions when, a Windows OS machine would fail to recover from . . . ‘S-l-e-e-p’.
If you also have Firefox or Google’s Chrome aboard your Windows OS machine, compare, test. In other words, is Brave Browser the only process that does not connect to the Internet, after your computer has been asleep?
