This is a known problem which has been going on 4 several months and it is stated that they’re working on this but obviously they’re not working hard enough or they’re not really spending much time on it.
With all the high-level privacy mechanisms that are on this site and that is light and fast, it is certainly disappointing that they can’t fix something simple as when you’re searching for something in the browser and try to edit it that it crashes multiple times causing a really bad user experience and frustration
Since there has been a blase response oh, I am considering dropping this browser even though I would like them to fix it so I could continue supporting it. Of course I’m just one little person out here, however there’s many other people that are still having this problem and they’ve been not attentive to fixing it.

Description of the issue: entering or editing info in search bar, try to edit with touch screen on Samsung S8, then app crashes and closes.

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no): yes
Additional Information: This is a known problem for several months. Previous topic was closed without fixing it.
Please fix it because I would like to continue to use it and support Brave as opposed to other browsers. If this isn’t fixed then I will be forced to use a different browser that doesn’t crash whenever I’m searching for something in the search bar. Thank you.

I’m not seeing any open issues for this yet and on my end (using Galaxy S9) I’m unable to reproduce. I’ve reached out to the Android team to get some more eyes on the issue. Can you confirm whether or not you’ve installed the browser from the Play store?
Additionally, can you try downloading the Beta version of the browser (also from the play store) and test to see if you get the same issue when using it? Note that this will install/run as a separate browser and not affect your current installation.
