Brave's creating a bunch of "chrome_url_fetcher_" folders in C:\Program Files

Description of the issue:
I updated Brave recently and now it’s creating all these folders prefixed with “chrome_url_fetcher_” in the Program Files folder. Deleted these folders and restarted Brave a bunch of times (I had to to test another regression from this update), it still creates them. Not a virus, scanned with AVG.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.73.89
Win10 LTSC 2021

@testingbobby,
Can you confirm for me whether or not you have Chrome or Edge installed on your system as well? Also, to confirm, you see these files appear (after being deleted) only once Brave is launched?

I would never install Chrome, it has a data harvesting malware that you can’t turn off called “software_reporter_tool.exe”, look it up.
I removed Edge a while ago with https://github.com/ShadowWhisperer/Remove-MS-Edge
These folders are being created while Brave is running. They all take up 0 bytes. It has created 256 folders as of now in the Program Files folder since I lasted deleted them 5 days ago.

Can you tell me what is in those folders?

They are empty.

Google claims they fixed it in Chromium but it’s here after I updated Brave.
