Brave window freezes after file download

Hello,
Since yesterday my Brave browser freezes after I click on any file to download (pdf’s, zips, save image as) and that window doesn’t respond on my Ubuntu 22. No matter if I save the file or not, after the folder menu closes I cannot use the browser but the media keeps playing for example. I found this article but it didn’t help me. I have disabled hardware acceleration, rebooted, and cleared caches already.

My Brave version:
Version 1.44.112 Chromium: 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Same thing happened with Google Chrome as well. This post solved my issue.
