Brave Wallet restore issues

The Brave Team will never ask you for your recovery phrase or private key.


Description of the issue:
I have the braveeth wallet address, which was on phone which had to be reset. I have the recovery phrase of the wallet.12 word.

When I try to restore that on other phone and import to new wallet, the original address is not being restored.

I am not able to get my tokens which are on my original braveEth wallet address.

Please help.

My address has Eth and 4 ERC 20 tokens.

Is the issue occurring on a specific network?

What operating system are you using? android , Motorola g85

Hello - Can you confirm it’s the same recovery phrase before you reset?

Was the ETH address used the Account 1 address? Do you see the same ETH address or does a different address now appear under Account 1?

Yes it’s the same recovery phrase
The default new account address after restore is different from the previous brave wallet address .

If the Account 1 ETH address is different than the previous address, it is highly likely it is not the same recovery phrase. You can learn more here: https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us/articles/16291144373261-What-is-a-Recovery-Phrase

You can also try importing the recovery phrase into another wallet provider to confirm the address/recovery phrase is different.

What are the options.
I can try using different wallet but not sure how to transfer to another wallet if it’s not brave. I am sure it’s the same though.

I am stuck with the tokens at that address then.

There have been reported issues of wallet restoration,where the address of wallet has changed.
I have evidences of my transactions with brave Eth wallet and for the ERC 20 tokens held.
How can I restore or access.
