Brave stopped responding so I had to uninstall and reinstall - Chromium got downgraded - Was it the real problem?

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Launching Brave browser recently goes into “Not Responding” and I sat there forever
  2. Reproducing it? I don’t know but it maybe related more to Chromium base version 137.1.79.118.
  3. I uninstalled/reinstalled Brave browser and now Chromium version is rolled back to 137.0.7151.61 and Brave is now working again normally.

Expected result:
I want my browser to work like it’s supposed to, not sit their loading a blank page with Windows reporting “Not Responding” in the title bar.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave Version is (now): 1.79.118
Additional Information:
After reinstalling I immediately copied the entirety of the ‘User Data’ folder back into ‘/Users/(Username)/AppData/Local/BraveSoftware/Brave Browser’.
My history is intact, all bookmarks seem to be in tact. The only thing that bothered me when I did this was that I had to overwrite about 300+ items that were already existing. I wish that wasn’t necessary.
And lastly, I have no idea how I got onto the latest version of Chromium except that I do install the latest updates when Brave asks me to. But why did they ask me to update to a later version and then it appears to be rolled back to an earlier version now. Was there show stopping bugs in the latest version of Chromium?
