Brave shield can you select items on the page to block as in ublock?

Description of the issue:
If I have ublock installed, I can hover my mouse over an item and then right-click and use the context menu to block it “zablokuj”.

Expected result:
In brave shield can you get the same effect?
Somehow by hovering over an element?

Or can I have brave shield and ublock on at the same time?
Won’t something overlap if you have several antivirus, for example?

Yes – you can use the “block elements” feature to block specific page elements on any webpage:

This has to be switched on somehow?

In the first post you have what I have in the context menu when I give the right mouse button.

Where is it in brave://settings/shields because I don’t see it, Settings → Shields → Content Filtering , I have a different language but still don’t see it.
I am using the Linux version not sure if it makes any difference.

Wersja 1.78.97 Chromium: 136.0.7103.93 (Oficjalna wersja) (64-bitowa)

I have enabled
“Developer mode
Allow custom filters and scriptlets”
And now I have blocked items in the context menu.

Can it be done on the mobile version too?

On Android yes.
Yes, use the context menu to block elements. When those elements are blocked, they will appear in the Create custom filters section of the brave://adblock page. You can get to this page by:

  • Typing brave://adblock in the address bar
  • Going to Menu --> Settings --> Shields --> Content Filters
  • Clicking on the Shields icon in the address bar, then Filter lists

I tested in incognito mode and it wasn’t.
Only then did I test in “normal mode” and there it is.

Why is it not there in incogonito?
It doesn’t depend on whether it is on a computer or the mobile version.
In ublock there is no such problem in any mode you can add to block.

I prefer to search in inkogonito and then only move what is interesting to the ‘normal’ mode and I don’t have a mess in the history where I would have to browse through hundreds of pages to find something.

I know that nowadays you don’t have to search so much as in chatgpt, deapseak, perplexity, which browse the internet for you, but I prefer the old way.
