Brave search results page disappears, goes blank

Motorola Edge Plus 2023, about a month ago I noticed when switching back and forth between tabs, or closing a tab, the switched to tab wouldn’t load, it would still have the image of the previous tab until I switched apps or refresh page.
Earlier today I tried searching for something in Brave, and it quickly displayed the page then it blanked out.
I just cleared the history, forced stop Brave, reboot device, still doesn’t show search results.
Hopefully someone has a solution otherwise I’ll have to switch away from Brave on all my devices.

I have the same issue on the Brave search page on a Samsung S20 FE. The search results appear briefly and then are no longer visible. This just started for me today.

I have the same issue on Brave browser on Windows 11 desktop. Searching anything shows the search results for half of a second, then the screen goes blank.

I have Brave installed w/sync on my Android, Windows 10 desktop, and a laptop that dual boots Linux/Windows 11. I’ll have to check this in W11 but other than Android haven’t had any issues, glitches, or what have yous.

As in my topic that I created about this very same issue, someone found “blocking scripts” solves the problem albeit not ideal as it breaks websites, including this one.

Hopefully Brave support addresses this officially as i have to switch to a different search provider for the time being.

*EDIT:
Do you use Adguard? For me toggling that off and back on seemingly fixed my issue. I’m still testing.

Do you have AdGuard installed?
I’d forgotten all about until just now. Disabling it the screen doesn’t blank.
As I get time I’ll have to figure what setting specifically it is, but thinking back there was an AdGuard update about the time my issues started.

Yes! I just came in to say I found it’s AdGuard!
I’ll try and dig through it at some point and figure out which setting so hopefully can change that instead of disabling/enabling to web search.

All you need to do is click on the Shield icon in the bottom toolbar of Adguard. From there go to Adblocking, then Website Allowlist.

Add search.brave.com then save.

Works perfectly for me after that.

Yep, that was the issue and the solution.
Thanks for the tip!
