Brave Search Premium Not Working


Description of the issue:
Hello, I am trying to sign into premium search on brave browser, but for some reason when I log in and it does not transfer over to new tabs and shows in search settings I am not logged in.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Sign into premium by going to https://account.brave.com/account/
  2. Sign in and get the link to sign in
  3. Click open under plan subscriptions.

Expected result:
You log into search premium but does not carry over to any other searches.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.75.175 Chromium: 133.0.6943.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
N/A

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

brave://settings/content/javascript

Scroll down that javascript settings page to Allowed to use javascript

Click the Add button

Enter [*.]brave.com as the site . . . but do not Enable the following:

  • Current Private session only

Click the Add button


In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

  • brave://settings/clearBrowserData

Select the Advanced tab. Time range: All time. Clear cookies and cache.


Exit / Quit everything and Restart your computer.

Thank you, but I really did not solve the issue for you. I took a swing at the slight chance there was a javascript obstacle and maybe other “dust” that needed to be cleared away.

Otherwise, the 2 Brave team members, mentioned, will very likely be able to help.
