Brave process in background causes Brave to hang

I noticed sometimes brave hangs and I cannot open new page - it’s blank even in incognito mode. Restarting brave doesn’t help but I could see even after closing brave there are still many processes in background, when I kill them brave starts working.

My browser version:
Version 1.44.112 Chromium: 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)

In system settings I have this option turned OFF:
Continue running background apps when Brave is closed

In the meantime, try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue. You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
