The homedepot.com website’s home page has a window labeled “What can we help you find today?” You enter what you are looking for, and it displays the available products that match (more or less) your search criteria. When using Brave, nothing happens when I attempt to use this. In all other browsers I have used, I see a variety of offerings. For example, in Chrome, if I type in “hammers”, I see a huge range of hammers, and the URL window shows
https://www.homedepot.com/b/Tools-Hand-Tools-Hammers/N-5yc1vZc98g?NCNI-5&searchRedirect=hammers&semanticToken=d00r20r01122000000_202203192333110048662235408_us-east1-91xw%20d00r20r01122000000%20>%20%20rid%3A{5f9901fc60b769b523d0dd8e79b3fe08}%3Arid%20st%3A{hammers}%3Ast%20ct%3A{hammer}%3Act%20tgr%3A{No%20stage%20info}%20nr%3A{hammer}%3Anr%20qu%3A{hammer}%3Aqu
In Brave, if I enter the same thing, there’s no change in the displayed page, and the URL window shows
https://www.homedepot.com/?
I have tried turning off Shields for this site, and also changing the site settings to allow popups and redirects and ads. Regardless of these settings, Brave does the same thing. This is quite inconvenient since Home Depot is the only national hardware chain in my town, and Brave is my routine browser.
The site functions normally using Chrome and Safari.
I am using Brave version 1.36.117 Chromium: 99.0.4844.74 (Official Build) (x86_64) on a MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.7
