I am a swedish user of Brave browser and now I have also paid for Brave Premium and now I have got a tiny blue shield with a star within it that tells me I have Brave Premium but what exactly means Brave Premium?
Why does this shield dissappear everytime when I close Brave and shut off my laptop?
Thats annoying it disappears sometimes and I have to log in everytime it would be much better if Brave Premium always was on when I turn on my laptop and use Brave browser. Now when I turned on my laptop Brave Premium has disappered again.
It disappears everytime I turn off my laptop but this screen should appear everytime I use Brave browser instead of first click on the wheel in the top right corner, then choose goto Brave Premium, then type in my email. then goto my email and confirm it, then go back to Brave Premium. All this steps are unnesscessary and annoys me everytime. Isnt there any easier way to use Brave Premium if not I maybe cancel it?
@TerMinator hey there. With you sharing more, it’s now easier to comprehend what you’re speaking of. What you’re seeking help on is Brave Search Premium. The importance of this is that Premium could refer to any of Brave’s premium services, such as Leo, VPN, Brave Talk, Search, etc.
For you to not stay signed in, the first assumption that would be made is that you are clearing cookies. Have you made sure you’re not clearing cookies on exit, that you don’t have Forget me when I close this site enabled in Shields, and that you’re not using any 3rd party programs to clear cookies?
@TerMinator okay, so let’s walk you through some things.
go to brave://settings/clearBrowserData and click on the On Exit portion. Do you have anything checked there? If should all be unchecked, like below.
If you have anything like Cookies and site data checked there, then it will clear cookies and log you out of websites.
Go to Brave Search, not Brave Community. Does it look something like below? Key thing is you want to make sure you don’t have Block All Cookies as your setting. But then you also don’t want to have the toggle for Forget Me When I Close All Sites enabled either:
I see you have other extensions, make sure you have nothing that would clear browsing data/history.
All of this is usually just to sign in. Once it’s signed in, there should be a cookie in the browser that will maintain. I’m not sure the expiration time but think they said it should be kind of permanent until someone removes it. This is why I’m asking you to make sure that the options I shared above aren’t set to clear out the cookies.
Btw, I do want to share something as it might matter here in the future. When you shared the screenshots, you did it from settings at community.brave.com. Keep in mind the settings you change there from the lion thing is only for the specific website you’re at.
The browser would see Brave Search and Brave Community as two separate websites. So changing settings here wouldn’t necessarily change it on Brave Search.
But seeming that you’re saying it seems to be working better, I’m assuming you cleared out whatever the issue may have been.
