Brave Playlist: “There was a problem loading the resource!” error on all videos (iOS)

Hi Brave team,

I’m experiencing a consistent issue with the Playlist feature in the Brave iOS app (v1.77). Whenever I try to play any video in the Playlist — whether it’s newly added or previously saved — I get the following error message:

“Sorry – There was a problem loading the resource!”

Device & App Info:
• Brave version: 1.77
• iOS version: [fill in your iOS version, e.g. 17.4.1]
• Device: iPhone [model, e.g. 13 Pro]
• Storage used by Brave: ~1 GB before reset
• Internet: Stable Wi-Fi and 4G tested

What I’ve tried:
1. Verified it happens on every video, not just one.
2. Tested on multiple networks (Wi-Fi + mobile).
3. Cleared all Playlist items manually.
4. Disabled all Shields that might block playback.
5. Fully deleted Brave via iPhone Storage > Brave > Delete App, and reinstalled via App Store.
6. Re-added new videos after reinstall — issue still persists.

Hi yes, i actually wrote the version wrong. I
I’ve been up-to-date with 1.78 all along. Also, my girlfriend on her iPhone 16 Pro has the same issue

Same problem here on my iPad Air with all the latest iPadOS updates and the most recent Brave browser update. Used to work fine, but no longer.

It is working again. Not sure if that was fixed or just coincidence.
