Brave Playlist on IOS 17.1! Not Working

Since I downloaded IOS 17.1 (yes I am a Apple Beta user) I cant download/play any songs from Brave playlist. Always when I want to Play it, the Error message: Sorry, There was a problem Loading your resource.

I restarted the whole Phone already several Times and it is the newest Version.

Anyone any Solutions??
Thank you in advance!

SOLUTION (for me):
It happened because I was logged in on Youtube and tried to add the Video to my Playlist. It probably could not get the Video because of some Verification Error (the video you watched and tried to connect is connected to your account). Or a other problem could be because of some youtube block against Brave Playlist.

To resolve this Problem log out! You might not find that option so fast. I reccomend holding your Phone horizontal and “request a Desktop site”. (Then it looks like on the Laptop/PC). To request that go to Youtube.com > three dots on the top or bottom (depends on the layout) > **request dektop site**

I tried to download the songs again in Mobile mode. It didnt work. I guess I will stay in Desktop Mode to download/play Songs in Playlist. If someone has a propper solution please

I’m experiencing the same problem. I’m never logged in on YouTube. I open YouTube links from other apps in Brave so there’re no ads and I can save video’s for offline viewing.

I’ve tried deleting brave and reinstalling, but the problem persists. I’m also on iOS 17.1

This is not a solution. Since iOS 17.1 update my playlist don’t work regardless of my YouTube login status. I reinstalled the browser multiple times, and playlists don’t work with default browser configuration and no cookies (not logged in anywhere).

Same problem here.
The old playlist worked, but if I add some video I’ve the same error on the video of the first message of this topic.

I have seen the same problem since my iphone updated to ios17. (not sure exactly when, but i think it is caused by the changes to browser in ios17)
I did some experiments. the issue seems to be linked to the recent unlocking of higher quality on mobile site. For example, some videos i watched have 2160p playing by default on yt mobile site. But the same video on desktop site is still l locked at 720p. in my limited experiments, i was able to save videos as normal from desktop site, but not from mobile site any more. Logged in or not had no influence.

Hi everyone,

We understand that this may be frustrating. I would like to reassure you that our team is aware of this current issue and are actively working on a solution as Youtube is constantly making changes to their system.

thanks for heads up. Is it this something related to safari in ios 17.1 too?

Hi all. Youtube changed few things on their side. We have to issue a fix.
Please give it a try this week when 1.58.2 is released

did you try (for every video separately) to change the view to “Desktop”?

go to Youtube.com > three dots on the top or bottom (depends on the layout) > request desktop site

not to my knowledge. I was talking about the Brave Playlist.

Hi. the fix is out, please update to 1.58.2 by going to the App Store manually. Sorry for that

Hi, I just updated, but the issue is still there with Youtube videos in the playlist. I deleted all items from the playlist and retried with new videos. Anything I might have missed?
iOS 17.1.1
Brave 1.58.2
Thanks!

Can you link an example video you have problems with? We tested it and Youtube seems to work for us

This is an example video on youtube - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VF8RPaJyggA

I also wanted to add a video of what the actions were that I do, but unfortunately I’m still new user  so, I just uploaded a printscreen

Thanks!

Updating manually to Brave 1.58.2 seems to have fixed the issue, thanks so much guys.
