Brave Passwords Not Working

Over the weekend I upgraded my m.2 drive in my laptop from 2TB to 4TB. I use Linux as I am a software developer so I rsynced my drive to our NAS server and installed a fresh copy of arch.

Everything works fine except for Brave. It did not remember any of my passwords even though I copied the BraveSoftware folder from my old .config directory to my new one.

Are the passwords not stored in the folder? I thought they were, but maybe I’m confusing it with LibreWolf (which worked perfectly when I copied it over).

This is likely due to the fact that you switched to a fresh install of Arch Linux. While passwords are indeed stored there, they are unable to be decrypted given that the desktop environment has changed. We have an article on our Help Center that expands on this:
