Steps to Reproduce
- Set “Brave starts with:” to “My windows/tabs from the last time” (and Brave must be your default browser)
- Go to YouTube and have any video playing (hereafter the first video)
- Close the browser window (i.e. close the browser completely)
- Click on any link to any YouTube video (perhaps some different one) (I usually click on a link in Thunderbird, but you could try making a shortcut to URL)
Brave will open as two windows, each video in its own window. The most annoying thing, the first video will start playing automatically in the background.
Open the second video in the same window, in its own tab. Stall the first video.
This is not limited to video hosting services, such behaviour should be for all kinds of Web pages, of course.
Vivaldi acts that way for example.
|OS Platform||Microsoft Windows|
I’m quite sure I see the same behaviour on Linux and macOS as well.
