I am using the android app on a Chromebook. The problem occurs when scrolling using the touch pad. Scrolling by touching the screen seems to work fine.

I suspect that two finger scrolling on the touch pad is not being correctly interpreted and is causing the popup to appear.
This problem should be easy to reproduce.
