How can this issue be reproduced? Launch Brave.

brave takes long to load and brave windows are either black or white, it takes hours to load, after it does, brave is really slow and laggy
it was working PERFECTLY FINE before brave update to version 1.68.128
it does this stuff even after a fresh installation of brave

As of this afternoon, I’m experiencing degraded performance while using Brave. Loading Brave after clicking on the desktop icon is noticeably slower and navigating websites “hangs” periodically.
Brave is up to date
Version 1.68.134 Chromium: 127.0.6533.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)
It appears to be related to using Steam and downloading a game in the background while I was using Brave to navigate websites.
Should I download another game in the background and use the record feature within Brave’s developer tools? Would that information be good enough for Brave Developers to troubleshoot?
Yes, though for me I don’t have steam running in the background, yet I still experience the same problem
