Brave Not Reloading Tabs

I have tried several sessions under the most recent version of Brave (1.73.104) but, aside from hardware racing and high energy consumption by the app, I have noticed that switching between tabs takes a while for Brave to show the content. So, I may have a newsite open, switch to another tab for a few minutes, and go back to the News site, and the tab is showing only the background and no text or images (so a white page for example). I can duplicate this repeatedly on Mac Mini (15.3 Sequoia).

Also, I am experiencing a slow down in typing with Brave (just writing on this forum). Suddenly, words are slow to appear, hesitation… it’s a widely reported issue but without any solutions.

I’m just finding that Brave isn’t able to compete with the big boys, especially Firefox. I want to use Brave because of a couple key plugins that Firefox doesn’t have… but it’s really not worth the numerous performance issues with Brave that I and others are reporting — without success.

If your Apple product has a cooling fan, you can use Macs Fan Control to monitor the computer’s potential hot spots - their temperatures - at the same time when you observe a problem with Brave Browser. (IOW, use MFC as a diagnostic tool.)

The MacOS and firmware include an ability to limit performance, in order to limit heat. I rely on Macs Fan Control, to help keep that ability to limit performance at bay.

…I would switch browsers long before messing with hardware. I shouldn’t hear my fan racing because I’m typing a blog.
