Description of the issue
Brave does not recognize verified creators on Reddit if one of said creators’ posts is open and instead reads “reddit.com” as the (unverified) creator. The only way to get Brave to recognize a creator on Reddit is to open that individual user’s profile.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open reddit.com
- Go to the BAT Project subreddit
- Find a user that is verified (can check by opening that user’s profile)
- Open one of their posts
Actual Result
Brave does not recognize individual verified (or unverified) creators on Reddit. Instead, it reads Reddit itself as the creator.
However, when the user’s profile is opened, Brave recognizes the creator.
Expected result
Brave is supposed to recognize Reddit creators on their posts as well as their profile.
Reproduces how often
Every time for several months; not sure exactly when it began
Operating System and Brave Version
Brave: Version 1.32.106 Chromium: 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Windows 11 21H2 (OS Build 22000.258), however this had also been occurring on Windows 10 before I upgraded to Windows 11
