Description of the issue:

Brave no longer plays all videos.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Isn’t playing: https://rumble.com/v5t272k-this-is-badass.-climate-religion-nuts-will-not-like-this-fast-clip-but-you-.html
  2. Another it won’t play: https://rumble.com/v5sfrkk-a-rabbi-exposes-the-beliefs-of-the-zionists.-horrific..html?e9s=src_v1_upp
  3. However, it’ll play other ones there. Select some on the right and they’ll probably play.

Expected result:

Used to play all videos.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

v1.73.91

Additional Information:

I don’t think it’s exclusive to Rumble videos. I recall other video sites I was having the same issue with, but do not have an example to give you atm. I think the problem started with the latest update.

It wasn’t an error message. I click on play and nothing happens.

UPDATE: I just went and tried to play the videos after I’d had a reboot, and they played. So this must be an occasional issue that develops. I’ll see if I can help narrow it down further.

@lch plays for me. Try any of the basic troubleshooting steps like opening in private window, checking with Shields down, testing in a new browser profile, etc?

UPDATE: I was just watching a Twitch stream and when I did an alt-tab to bring another window to the foreground, the Twitch tab became unresponsive. I’m not sure if this is related, but it is also a problem I’m not used to seeing. It’s not a common error, so can’t dependably repeat it.
