Description of the issue:
[Edit: this seems to be specifically affecting schema links. Brave no longer opens any schema app links on iOS. I can say that as of 2-3 weeks this was still functioning. Right now no schema links work on iOS]
At some point in the past few weeks, Brave stopped opening apps from links on my iPhone. I am using the latest version of all apps.
In the past, the issue was related to a setting not many new about regarding opening apps externally.
My current settings are:
“Private Browsing Only”: OFF
“Block ‘Switch to App’ Notices”: OFF
“Allow universal links to open in external apps”: ON
Still nothing. Have tried reinstalling Brave and other relevant apps. Brave simply won’t open any external apps whatsoever, not even the App Store.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Click on literally any link that is supposed to load an installed app, including App Store
- Click on it
Expected result:
The relevant app, e.g. App Store, should open.
