After closing and re-opening the Brave browser, I am consistently logged out of websites such as YouTube. Even though I am signed in before closing Brave, upon reopening the browser, I see the site as if I am not logged in at all.
Steps Already Taken:
- New Profile Test:
- I created a new user profile in Brave.
- Result: The issue still persists—closing and reopening the browser logs me out of YouTube.
- File System Permissions:
- Verified that my user account has full permissions for the Brave profile folder.
- Result: All permissions are in order (all “Group or user names” have full permissions except “Special permissions”).
- Resetting Brave Settings:
- I clicked the “Reset all” button in Brave settings.
- Result: This did not resolve the issue.
- Checking for External Software:
- Confirmed that no external software (such as system cleaners or antivirus programs) is deleting my cookies.
- Result: No interfering software found.
- Fresh Installation:
- I have just installed Brave, so the browser is up-to-date and fresh.
- Result: The problem still occurs.
