Brave keeps opening google app

Brave browser 1.76

Everytime I leave brave browser on an image tab , when I open the app again it keep redirecting me to the google app without even asking, it just automatically opens the google app and plops the same image page on google instead of keeping me on brave browser.

My default browser on my phone is brave browser but my default engine on brave browser is google. I just want to use google in brave browser , I don’t want it to keep opening google.

Please edit your Original Post (“OP”) above, in order to include:

  • Brave Browser version numbers

In your iOS device, Brave Browser Settings > Shields & Privacy . . .

Scroll down to OTHER PRIVACY SETTINGS

Disable: Allow universal links to open in external apps

Exit / Quit everything ← meaning, completely, the Apple iOS way - a complete “hard”/“force” restart of the iPad and iPhone:

After starting the device, then test.
